PC CARE AND SAFETY PROCEDURES FOR USERS

How to take care of your PC

1. Computers need a good temperature to work properly. They need to be placed in a cool and dry place. to maintain the temperature used electric fan or air conditioner.
2. Cables and connectors must be tied together for us to not trip to them.\
3. Don't eat in front of the computer. Food bits can cause damages to computers. Spilled drinks might cause short circuits.
4. Use an AVR. Too much electric voltage cause unit to short. Turn off computers when there's lightning.
5. Do not bump or drop the computer because it might damaged and cause malfunctioning.
6. Avoid clutter around the computer. Use soft clothes in cleaning to avoid scratches.
7. Scan for viruses. Internet connection and internal storage devices often carry viruses that can cause damages and malfunctioning.

USERS HEALTH RISKS AND PREVENTION

PC's are "user friendly" but have health risks. Computers emit radiation to harm us. It may damage eyes,wrist,headache,shoulder,back,and neck due to prolonged used of computer.

Good Working Habits

* Tap on keys and mouse gently
* Avoid long typing. Take 20 minutes break.
* Avoid staring at the monitor for so long. Take a break.

Paper Workstation Design

* Position in a ventilated , comfortable room.
* Use adjustable workstation and ergonomic computer chairs.
* Place monitor 16-24 inches away, at eye level or slightly at a lower angle. Tilt the monitor and adjust light source. Adjust brightness and contrast.
* Use extendable legs of the keyboard.
* Place mouse where it is easily accessible by your hand.
* Use a document holder to minimize head movements.

Proper Posture

* Sit up straight and the feet on the floor.
* Position your lower level arms parallel with the floor and level to your keyboard with elbows at the side.
* Keep wrist straight.
* Don't lean on the monitor, But sit close to the keyboard and mouse to stay relaxed.
